Okay, I'm Making another game, and this time, I have to make it as well as I can, AND it has to be educational.
So, I have to think of something to do, which is kind of hard when trying to concieve a game, so, I'll try and think of something. I'm probably going to do something to do with history, ancient history to be exact, probably ancient Greece or Ancient Rome or Aztecian stuff etc. Who knows? Maybe I could do a blend of everything, but that'd mean a hell of a lot of homework, and I don't really like homework, and without a complete access to the internet yet…
I will use a test subject, who I will refer to as MC. Hopefully he will enjoy the game, however, he is very indecisive. As of yet, I have not found a name for my game, because I haven't really defined my game yet, so, I think I'll think of a name when I have gotten pretty far in completion of the game. I could of course create a name, then change it later, but still, I haven't defined my game.
Alchemy Concieved...
Okay, so here's my idea. I am going to make a game about chemistry, but not exactly as we know it. It's going to be about the origins of chemistry... Alchemy! It sounds a bit weird, but not only will this game teach history and chemistry (even though the chemistry will be a little warped) but it will also teach memory. Firstly, you will need to learn the symbols of each element ( there will only be about te to fifteen) the symbols of transformation ( which are starsigns and refer to how things are made ) and other things. I will probably use picture clues to help people finish the game, but I still don't know how you will be able to finish the game.
I'm trying to force a story into this game, which will be a little hard, but I think I can do it. I'm thinking perhaps I should create an apprentice and master style game, where you are trying to surpass your master and finally discover the philosophers stone or the stone of knowledge or something like that. But of course to create something like the philosophers stone you would need to incredibly warp the fabric of chemistry.
I'm thinking in the game perhaps I should have something like stages, as in when you surpass your first master, (by creating an alchemical compound) you will go on to the next stage. I'm thinking that if you make a mistake there will be something like a patience meter that will lower as you make mistakes or refer to an in built manual for help. If you run out of time I will probably cause the compound which you are working on cause an explosion and force you to start again if you run out of "patience".
Hopefully this game will be fun, and I'd better get started.
